  20. 1. General Notes
  21. ================
  22.   IMPORTANT!
  23.   You must IMPERATIVELY read this README file and all the documentation
  24.   supplied BEFORE you continue the installation!
  25.   Otherwise the company cannot accept any responsibility for claims that 
  26.   may be caused as a consequence.

  28.   Please be aware that you can only take full advantage of the
  29.   features provided by the Stealth 3D 3000, if the other components of
  30.   your system, especially the graphic monitor that is being used,
  31.   also comply with the specifications of the Stealth 3D 3000.
  32.   (Example : The resolution 1280x1024 that is supported by the
  33.   Stealth 3D 3000 can obviously not be used with a monitor that is
  34.   specified to only support resolutions up to 1024x768).

  36. 2. Installation
  37. ===============
  38.   The program calls stated below refer to the installation from the
  39.   installation disks and the SuperCD ('SuperCD'). 
  40.   If you have only floppies in the box, the software at the floppies 
  41.   will be newer as the current CD.

  43.  2.1 Installation under Windows 3.1x / Windows 95
  44. =================================================
  45.   Note: The install program detects your operatin system and installs
  46.   the correct drivers. 
  47.   
  48.   Select the menu items 'File' and then 'Run' in the Windows Program
  49.   Manager. Then enter:
  50.  
  51.   a) (Disk)                  b) (SuperCD)
  52.      A:\INSTALL                 <CD drive>:START
  53.  
  54.   For further information, execute the file README.BAT in the path:
  55.   <CD-drive>:\INSTALL\GRAPHIC\STEALTH\3D3000\WIN95 (for Windows 95)

  58. 2.2 Installing the OS/2 Driver 
  59. ==============================
  60.   A driver for OS/2 is available at our BBS or on the Internet
  61.   www.diamondmm.de. Please read the file README.TXT that comes with the
  62.   driver.

  65. 2.3 Installing the Windows NT 3.51 Driver

  67.   Please execute README.BAT in the path:

  78. 3.  Choosing a Monitor
  79. ======================
  80.   As mentioned above, the graphics monitor you choose to use with
  81.   your board should be technically suitable for use with your
  82.   Stealth 3D 3000 board in order to be able fully utilize this.

  86.   Only use settings that your monitor supports. If you use the monitor
  87.   outside the specified ratings then it may suffer permanent damage!
  88.   If you change the monitor then you must compare the ratings first
  89.   and should reconfigure accordingly!

  91. 4. Restrictions
  92. ===============
  93.   Driver for AutoCAD, Microstation 3DStudio are not yet available. 
  94.   If they are available, you can get them from our online Services.
  95.   The MPEG Module MVP1100 is not supported.

  100.   Please note the SuperCD for most current information about all
  101.   our support services. To get this information please call the 
  102.   program "START" and select the menu item "Information".
